The Action Committee in the picture
21 February 2019
The For a Change Foundation always cooperates with the local people, especially with the Action Committee. The members of the Action Committee know best that the consequences of severe poverty are and know the surroundings and the people. They are the bridge between For a Change and the village. The Committee has selected the children who are now part of the sponsoring program. The Committee tells us about the problems that are present in the village and also help to think about suitable solutions. But who are they, the members of the Action Committee? Today, we get to know one of them: Obvious Ingolo, the treasurer of the Committee.
Mister Ingolo grew up in Kwanjana. He finished primary and secondary education, but not with good results. From a young age, he has had hearing troubles. Therefore, he missed much from the curriculum, resulting in not-so-high grades. His dream, becoming a docter for the poorest and most vulnerable, never became true. He chose another profession: construction worker. He is married and has 3 children.
Mister Igolo was very happy when he was elected as member of the Action Committee, because this gave him the opportunity to do something for the most vulnerable in the community.
His wish is that the program will expand more and more, making it possible to help even more children and he hopes that he can contribute to this.
His wish for the children of the nursery school, is that they will complete their entire education and wil not quit school, so they can have a successful future. Because education is the basis for development!
